If the package is entered in grams, enter daily use in grams. If it is entered in pounds, enter daily use in pounds. The calculator does not convert between units.
Understand the method
Daily cost equals package price divided by package weight, multiplied by daily use. The monthly estimate uses 30.44 days and the annual estimate uses 365 days. Taxes, delivery, discounts, waste, and price changes are not added unless included in the package price you enter.
Cost is not suitability
A cheaper daily cost does not establish that a food is nutritionally appropriate. Compare cost only after confirming the food and amount with the label and an appropriate veterinary professional.
