Data saved on your device
The planner stores your pet profile, completed checklist items, reminders, and emergency card in your browser's local storage. Each standalone tool can also save its own draft in local storage. XYZ Pets does not provide an account or send that saved draft data to an XYZ Pets database.
Share links
The main planner places the basic pet profile and selected care focus in the link query. Hosting logs may therefore receive those non-emergency values. Standalone tools place the entered tool data after the URL hash. Browsers do not send the hash fragment to the web server, but anyone who receives a tool link can read everything stored in that link. Do not include door codes, passwords, payment details, or information the recipient should not retain.
Downloads and device features
Text, CSV, emergency-card, calendar, and standalone-tool files are generated in your browser. Print and save-as-PDF are handled by the browser print system. Copy, email, call, and native share actions are handled by your browser or operating system under its own privacy controls.
Offline cache
A service worker may cache the offline recovery page and pages you open, together with their required files. Offline access lists pages confirmed as available and lets you download all tools and guides when you choose. The offline cache contains the application files, not your saved tool drafts, emergency contacts, or reminders.
Free Sitter Studio
Product analytics is off for new visitors without opening a prompt. You can opt in or change an earlier preference using Privacy Choices in the footer.
The free sitter earnings calculator processes amounts in the browser without uploading them. Sitter Studio is free to open in the browser or download for offline use. It stores jobs locally where browser storage is available. Its exported backups and client documents contain the details you enter; keep and share those files carefully.
Sitter Studio does not require registration, an email address or payment. Downloads are served directly by XYZ Pets. Browser and downloaded copies keep separate local records; use a backup to move your work between them.
Hosting logs
XYZ Pets is hosted by Netlify. Like most web hosts, Netlify may process technical request information such as IP address, browser details, requested URL, and timestamps for delivery, security, and operational analytics. Netlify's own terms and privacy policy govern that processing.
Performance measurement
Netlify Real User Monitoring is enabled on the production site. Netlify injects an asynchronous script that collects aggregated Web Vitals from real visits, including loading speed, responsiveness, and layout stability, together with production deploy details. Netlify states that this feature does not require browser cookies. XYZ Pets does not add form values or generated care-document content to those performance events. Advertising and product analytics
XYZ Pets uses a first-party product analytics endpoint backed by Netlify Blobs only after a visitor chooses Allow Analytics. It does not load a third-party analytics script, set an analytics cookie, create a persistent visitor identifier, or store individual event records. The endpoint immediately adds each accepted event to aggregate hourly counters.
Allowed events contain a page path, tool slug, approved action name, completion counts, booleans, output method, and limited campaign attribution. Pet names, contact details, form values, query strings, URL fragments, share-link contents, generated care documents, IP addresses, and browser identifiers are not written to the analytics store. Netlify may still process request information for delivery and security as described above.
Campaign attribution is kept only for the current browser session and is limited to normalized utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and utm_content labels, an external referrer hostname without its path, and a landing path without its query or fragment. Aggregate counters are retained until the site owner deletes the analytics Blob store. The persistent Privacy Choices control can change the decision. Choosing Use Without Analytics clears session attribution and stops product-usage events from being sent.
Workday coverage drafts
The workday coverage checker stores helper names and proposed hours in this browser only when you choose Save draft on device. Confirmations are not saved. Loading a draft requires reviewing and reconfirming each helper’s hours. Saved coverage drafts are included in the planner’s Local Data backup, restore and clear controls. Delete saved draft removes the stored copy while leaving the currently open entries in place. Copying or printing includes the entered names and hours. Choosing Bring helpers into my routine opens a new tab with the confirmed helper names and hours encoded in a link fragment. Fragments are not sent in the page request, but anyone with the full link can read them. The planner removes that fragment from its address after opening and holds the hours in memory for your review. Applying suggestions changes the open routine; saving those carer names still requires Save on device.
Editable daily schedules
The puppy, dog and cat schedule editors save only when you choose Save on device. Load saved reopens that copy; Delete saved removes it. Downloaded text and printed schedules include the names and care details you entered. They are also included in the planner’s Local Data backup and clear controls. Schedule backup files can be opened on another device. A shared routine is encoded in the link fragment and is not uploaded to XYZ Pets; anyone who receives it can read that snapshot, and later edits do not update it. Calendar exports include the selected tasks, pet name and carer details; importing them sends those details to your chosen calendar provider under its policies. XYZ Pets does not connect to that calendar or sync future changes.
Your controls
Use Clear inside a standalone tool to delete that draft. Use Start Over to clear the planner profile and checklist. Delete reminders individually, or open Local Data to download or restore a backup and clear planner data plus every saved tool draft. Browser site-data settings can also remove storage and offline files.
