Data saved on your device

The planner stores your pet profile, completed checklist items, reminders, and emergency card in your browser's local storage. Each standalone tool can also save its own draft in local storage. XYZ Pets does not provide an account or send that saved draft data to an XYZ Pets database.

Share links

The main planner places the basic pet profile and selected care focus in the link query. Hosting logs may therefore receive those non-emergency values. Standalone tools place the entered tool data after the URL hash. Browsers do not send the hash fragment to the web server, but anyone who receives a tool link can read everything stored in that link. Do not include door codes, passwords, payment details, or information the recipient should not retain.

Downloads and device features

Text, CSV, emergency-card, calendar, and standalone-tool files are generated in your browser. Print and save-as-PDF are handled by the browser print system. Copy, email, call, and native share actions are handled by your browser or operating system under its own privacy controls.

Offline cache

After the first successful visit, a service worker may cache the app shell, tools, images, legal pages, and guides so they remain available without a network connection. The offline cache contains the application files, not your saved tool drafts, emergency contacts, or reminders.

Hosting logs

XYZ Pets is hosted by Netlify. Like most web hosts, Netlify may process technical request information such as IP address, browser details, requested URL, and timestamps for delivery, security, and operational analytics. Netlify's own terms and privacy policy govern that processing.

Performance measurement

Netlify Real User Monitoring is enabled on the production site. Netlify injects an asynchronous script that collects aggregated Web Vitals from real visits, including loading speed, responsiveness, and layout stability, together with production deploy details. Netlify states that this feature does not require browser cookies. XYZ Pets does not add form values or generated care-document content to those performance events. Advertising and product analytics

XYZ Pets currently does not include third-party advertising, affiliate tracking, audience profiling, Google Analytics, or a custom product-analytics endpoint. The Netlify performance measurement described above is active.

The site includes a dormant analytics adapter for future business measurement. It accepts only page paths, tool slugs, action names, completion counts, booleans, output methods, and limited campaign attribution. It excludes pet names, contact details, form values, share-link contents, and generated care documents. The adapter cannot transmit events unless a valid service is deliberately configured. Its default configuration also requires a visitor to choose Allow Analytics first and adds a persistent Privacy Choices control. This policy will identify the configured provider before that service is activated.

When analytics is configured and allowed, campaign attribution is kept only for the current browser session. It may contain normalized values from utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, and utm_content, the external referrer's hostname without its path, and the landing-page path without its query string or fragment. Arbitrary query parameters, full referrer URLs, email-like values, URLs, path-shaped campaign values, and long digit sequences are rejected. Internal click destinations are reduced to a page path; external destinations are reduced to a hostname. Choosing Use Without Analytics clears the session attribution and prevents it from being attached to events.

Your controls

Use Clear inside a standalone tool to delete that draft. Use Start Over to clear the planner profile and checklist. Delete reminders individually, or open Local Data to download or restore a backup and clear planner data plus every saved tool draft. Browser site-data settings can also remove storage and offline files.
